Boasting a full UD carbon frame and fork, wide WTB multi-surface tyres and Shimano’s gravel bike-specific GRX groupset, the Substance CR-2 is ready to perform on all terrains. Whether it’s gravel, road or dirt, wet or dry weather, this is a drop-bar adventure bike that you really can ride anywhere.
The Substance carbon model is born tough and light. This bike can go as hard and fast as you want it to or be a lightweight friend for a long-distance relaxed epic. With the addition of mounts for luggage, mudguards and multiple bottles, it’s also capable of the biggest bike packing or touring adventures.
The Substance CR-2 is fitted with Prime Kanza Aluminium wheels, which are wrapped with big volume WTB Venture TCS Road Plus 47mm tyres. 650b is perfect for adventure cycling with the large outer diameter keeping your wheels rolling over bumps, whilst the added tyre volume allows you to adjust pressures depending on the terrain for grip, comfort, and luggage weight. The finishing kit is made up of a Vitus 6061 aluminium handlebar, stem and seat post. The handlebars feature a flat top section for added comfort on and off-road, with the Substance CR-2 featuring a 3-degree bar flare.
The Substance CR-2 is fitted with Shimano’s popular GRX 400 groupset – the world's first dedicated gravel groupset. Paired with the GRX 600 chainset, this 10-Speed 2x groupset delivers a smooth and quiet drivetrain, specifically tuned for gravel/adventure riding.
